Professional Advanced Esthetics Courses Overview
Students will learn the essential skills necessary to perform manicures, pedicures, waxing and facials effectively and efficiently in only 43 weeks while enrolled in the esthetics courses. Esthetics training places a heavy emphasis on practical experience ensuring students are spa-ready upon graduating. This skin care training program is enhanced with a commitment to professional development by incorporating a strong business component to the curriculum.
Students will thrive learning in this lifelike spa setting with access to the most current products and equipment while perfecting both their theory and practical application. Students will receive a solid understanding of anatomy and pathology of the skin, hair, hand, arm, focus on safety, hygiene combined with the esthetics training and knowledge necessary to become a retail specialist - this will ensure students are well prepared for their new career when leaving esthetics school. Students will enter the field of Esthetics with the utmost confidence using their newfound talent and business skills.
Students will learn to perform advanced and medical esthetics services such as Laser Hair Removal, Laser Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments for Acne Skin, Skin Rejuvenation Treatments, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion and much, much more. This course includes an intense focus on practical experience to ensure treatments are efficient and effective while using the most current products and equipment. Esthetics (Aesthetics) Training Courses | EC Academy School Program
Requirements: Alberta High School Diploma or Alberta Equivalent with 50% or better in Grade 12 English.
Mature Admission Requirements: If you are 18 or over and do not meet the above criteria, you can apply under mature student status. You are required to have at least thirty-three credits toward your Alberta High School Diploma (verified by transcript) with 50% or better in Grade 10 English, or Alberta equivalent. Note: An aptitude test will be administered by the Academy. (The potential student must obtain a successful result on the test).
